We decided to go to our local thrift store on a day that was way too hot. It was kind of urgent though because this store's looking to relocate soon though we don't know when. As such, it may have been our last chance to see their goods. I found exactly what I was looking for as the summer's in full swing: tops. I looked at some other stuff too, so there's some things I did get and some I was tempted by but didn't.
The first top is this cute babydoll-ish brown one with a lovely collar. It's comfy and very nice. It's from Mim and 100% cotton which is super sweet.
The second top is a semi-sheer off the shoulder type in brown with bronze sequins and turquoise thread detailing around the collar. Outside of being super cute it's very, very light. It's 100% viscose and from Next.
The third is a brown tee with cool stripes on the shoulders. I used to think brown was a very boring colour but boy, was I wrong. It's such a warm and comforting colour, especially for t-shirts. This one's from Jules but I have no idea about the material as the tag's been removed.
The last top is probably the coolest and craziest find. I was kind of shocked no one else snatched it up. A very fairy-like pink tanktop. I love pretty much everything about it, the ribbing, the slight paisley print, the tie-dye colour, the lace, and the glittery thread! Tag is missing but it is from Burton.
Now, for the stuff that looked cool but I didn't get...
These very cute swim shorts, I am on the look-out for some but these didn't fit lose enough so I decided that it's better to actually buy ones that would be 100% comfortable.
This green cardigan-y top. It's very cute but as soon as I tried to put my arms up there I knew it wasn't going to work.
This grey dress, it was super airy but also way too tight, especially in the shoulders.
In other news, my sister got this skirt. It's magical.
I also "made" myself a hanging jewelry display. The box method just wasn't working for me. So the metal piece is hanging by two nails and was originally a shelf on a shoe rack. We were gonna throw it out but I felt I could still use it for something. I kinda dig how it looks, a little dingy and a little like those corner store displays that have sunglasses or postcards on them.
And that's all for this thrift trip! I usually compile a bunch of my finds over many trips and months but this time I thought it'd be nice to just post about a single thrift day, because it was a lucky one!
