Gothic & Lolita Bible (2001-2017)
Here is part 2 of my archive list for my favourite fashion magazines. This time: the eccentric and enigmatic Gothic & Lolita Bible. As usual, the scans have been done by amazing contributors through their own sites or the Internet Archive. I'm merely trying to make a comprehensive list of links to the magazines.
In the words of VirtualJapan, Gothic & Lolita Bible is: "a Japanese fashion publication released quarterly by KERA magazine. Promoting the Japanese Gothic and Lolita styles, the publication is released with a combination of illustrations, fashion magazine aspects, and culture guide posts for youth interested or involved in the Gothic Lolita scene both inside and outside Japan."
To me, GLB is special both for it's loyalty to a cool and unique subculture and it's visual appeal. The layout and art of it is just not like anything else, superior to many conventional publications. This is especially true of their beautiful covers. In March of 2017, GLB announced that they would be on hiatus in May of that year after 16 years of publishing. Below you will find links to the main magazines, the extras, and the English editions. Click the images of the covers to be taken to the magazine. If there is no link, that means that that volume has not bee archived and is unavailable.
