B is for...Bags! {A-Z 2026 #2}

For the longest time I was not a hand-bag girl, I wasn't even really a messenger bag girl. Well, sometimes. But I preferred backpacks for most things in life. But suddenly I've come to really love them. Even though my current daily bag is still a messenger bag, I usually switch to a spacious hand bag in the summer. Most of my bags are second hand, I actually really prefer second-hand bags to new ones. Really high quality ones are usually very expensive, and everything within my price range is either poorly made or kinda ugly. I just really love older styles of bags. And so, here is my current collection...

Oxbow Messenger Bag

Origin - Second hand

Brand - Oxbow

My obsession is all things from surf brand. Oxbow is a French surf wear company and though I don't love their new stuff I have a few things that I thrifted that I love. This is my main bag and has been for a few years now. It's so cool and practical. I put a few keychains on it that I've picked up over the years.

Polka Dot Hand Bag

Origin - Second hand

Brand - Unknown

A very cute polka dot bag that I picked up last year. I was thinking to change the straps/handles but now they've kind of grown on me. I usually wear this bag to events where I don't need much stuff with me but I've also taken it to class a few times. It is possible to shove a bunch of shit in there.

Rip Curl Hand Bag

Origin - Second hand

Brand - Rip Curl

An insanely lucky find at a flea market last year. It was like 3 or 5 euros or something. It is so huge inside and so cute. I love Rip Curl stuff from the 2000s so much. I'm excited to pull it back out come summer.

Camo Tote

Origin - Bought new

Brand - Unknown

My mum got this one for me at the outlet sale. A good tote, works like a tote but is cool and camouflaged. I usually carry documents in it.

Pink Interior Messenger Bag

Origin - Second hand

Brand - Unknown

A pretty simple messenger bag but it has a cute hot pink textile on the inside. My practical bag that has seen some shit. I use a broken bracelet I found at a thrift store as a charm.

Faux Leather Hand Bag

Origin - Second hand

Brand - Unknown

A pretty small fake leather hand bag. My only issue with it is that it's weirdly bent and shaped but it still works and looks cute with a bunch of keychains I threw on it so I like it a lot. I usually take it to parties when I dress more glam.

Green Flower Hand Bag

Origin - Second hand

Brand - Unknown

Another lucky find at a thrift store, it's pretty small and also quite worn but I really love the colour, shape, and the flower detail it has. It's just so dainty!

Blue String Bag

Origin - Bought new

Brand - Unknown

Slavic household classic, but in blue! Small shit just falls out of it so it's mostly for beach stuff or the fruit/veg market.

Lafuma Sports Bag

Origin - Second hand

Brand - Lafuma

Just a big and spacious sports bag in case of traveling. I really liked the colours and that it's quite square when fully packed. Practical.
