Well... spring stuff and some of June too! I've come across, bought, and was gifted some neat stuff over the past few months. Without further ado...
Hygiene
My sister gave me this honey face mask! I love honey everything so I'm usually disappointed when the products don't really smell like honey...
My mum gifted me this Monoi body mist. It's delicious. My Monoi obsession is limitless.
I bought more of the reusable shower gel supplies. I liked the gel quite a bit and it's great not having to buy a new bottle each time so I'll be happily buying these little things instead.
My current deodorant is nearly out so I decided to try the deodorant from the same company as the shower gel, as it's also reusable. It's hibiscus-flavored, which is my second favourite flower.
I found these adorable lip balms at the outlet store. They come in four flavours: raspberry frosting, vanilla cream, sweet macaron, and sugar candy. They don't smell very different if I'm gonna be real but they are nice and rich (my lips are so chapped) and the tubes are so pretty that it's not really a problem for me.
Clothes and Accessories
I picked up two hair crabs at our supermarket, both are very summer-y and floral and I love them a lot.
My mum gave me this ring as a gift for no special occasion, which is very nice. It's very cute and the shape is unique!
Some family friends just got back from a lot of traveling and they gave us a bunch of gifts. Among the delicious snacks there were also this hairband, hair-tie, and earring set. The headband is very gentle which is ideal, as anything even a little tight gives me a huge migraine. And I like how big and fun the scrunchie is!
We were very spoiled, my brother and sister and I each got a pair of fun socks, mine had some rice cookers on them.
And my fave of the gifts was definitely this cute little coin purse. It's in my favourite green, with some steamed bun guys.
Stationery
I saw this notebook at the outlet store and got it straight away because of how much I love Alphonse Mucha. He's one of my favourite artists ever. When I was in Madrid during uni, there was an exhibition of his work including some of the works from the Slav Epic, they are insane. Obviously a lot of his commercial work is exceptional as well.
Got these post-its even though I haven't been a teacher in like... nearly seven years! Honestly the post-its on the right are the ones I really like, don't like the ones on the left much at all so I'm using them as draft paper for rough notes.
Picked up some nice quality lead for my mechanical pencil.
Saw this pencil sharpener at the outlet store, the Groke is one of the most underrated characters in all of Moominvalley. She's deeply misunderstood and treated pretty unfairly by everyone. "She seeks friendship and warmth, but she is declined by everyone and everything, leaving her in her cold cavern on top of the Lonely Mountains." I wanna be a Snufkin, but I know I'm a Groke so I feel for her.
My old glue is almost done and also has weird... growths on it. It's freaking me out so I may toss it out. Replacement glue!
Got stickers throughout the months: some cute label stickers with these very Cyber Stylin' gals, just a bunch of stars, and some cupcakes.
I got a bunch of paint brushes and some fake lashes for an upcoming art project. More on that in the future...
Music
So, a few weeks ago my cat, who has never done anything like it before, for some reason chewed through my headphone wire. He was on my lap while doing it too, the bastard. So, I decided to finally try some IEMs. I've been looking to buy some for my mp3 player but decided I could also see how they work with my PC. I got the TANGZU WANER SG 2 Jade Dragon Edition for about 26-ish euros. I know you can go really crazy and order some otherworldly IEMs for 50-500 euros but I decided to start with a realistic budget.
Honestly, they are pretty good. Very clear sound, quite punchy. A little lacking on the bass for my taste personally but if you like a clear sound I think you can do worse. Hate the AI art on the packaging but whatever, I threw it out. They also came with a bunch of ear buds which is great because I had to try a bunch out before settling on the ones that work for me best. There's also a little rubber pouch that I honestly never use. Overall, a solid option for someone looking to listen to music on a budget.
I also picked up the Black Parade as it was on sale at our supermarket.
Food/Drink
Got this tea at the outlet store: love cranberry, love cinnamon. It's pretty good, a little sweet for me but not bad at all. It kinda taste like bubblegum almost...
Got this cup for drinking coffee at my work table. Almost tipped over a cup the other day so I decided something with a lid might be helpful. I'm a clumsy bitch. Kind of crazy about the design of this cup: it's what the kids are calling Heisei Retro, I believe. That was the predominant stationery style of my childhood so it really puts a smile on my face.
And that's all for this post! How did you start the summer?
